When You Are Feeling Alone

I've read many quotes about how a girl's playlists and the songs and artists she listens to tell more about her than her words.


And how if you want to know what kind of girl you are dealing with you should ask her what music she listens to, and then listen to it and listen what the words say. I've figured out that in my case, it's true. I have told nobody how lonely I really feel sometimes, even that I know I have the most amazing friends ever. Most of the playlists I listen to tell about feeling lonely.


There is a huge difference between being alone and feeling lonely. And you should always know that. Usually being alone is your own choice. Of course there are people in this world who sadly don't have any friends and to them it isn't a choice. We can choose if we want to be with our friends or spen some time alone. Being alone sometimes is a good thing, as long as you still spend time with your friends too. It's good to sometimes take some time to just be alone, think things through and do things you maybe can't do with your friends. I usually like spending school nights alone and just concentrating on what I want to do and take my time to rest and get ready for the next day. Weekends are usually my "friend time" when I hang out with my friends and have fun.


Feeling lonely is never your own choice. You can feel lonely even in a group of people. Feeling lonely is a terrible feeling and, unlike being alone, loneliness scares us. Feeling lonely is feeling pointless and feeling like no one cares about you. Probably all of us feel lonely in some point of our lives. Most terrible feeling is when you are in a room full of people but you still feel lonely. But I want to tell you something very important. Even if you feel like nobody cares, that's not true. 
My advice is that when you are feeling lonely, go somewhere that gives you peace of mind and do something that gets your thoughts away from the things. The place can be any place that you feel good and peaceful in and the thing you do can be anything that gives you something else to think about. To me the place is the forest next to my home and especially the cliffs in there. Always if I start feeling lonely I go there, sit on the edge of the cliff, listen to music, and write or just look to the horizon. It works every time and when I go home I feel a lot better.
